Common Questions

The church is a place where people can gather and learn about the teachings of Jesus, to learn to apply these principles to our lives.  Some have likened the church to a hospital, a place where broken people can be healed.  Where people can grow to be healthy in body, mind and spirit and then help other get better too.  In the New Testament, the apostle Paul said that the church is to be God’s hands, feet and voice in this world. To learn be Christ like to the world, so that people around us may experience the love of God.

Jesus said that we should “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you”. Matthew 28: 19-20.  Baptism is a public testimony expressed by a believer of the inner change that happens when a person accepts Jesus into their lives.  It’s not required to be saved but it’s a public profession of faith.  Baptism  helps us identify with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.

We are involved in different ways. From giving and support for full time missionaries to taking one day trips down into Mexico to help out various organizations.  For more information talk to Paster Soto about what’s coming up.
